2What We Do

Six ways we
help you write better.

We don't do everything. We do writing — and we do it carefully. Every service is handled by writers who've spent years in their lane.

01

Blog Writing

Research-backed articles that hold attention and build trust over time. From 800-word how-tos to 3,000-word deep dives — written for readers, not algorithms.

Long-formResearchSEO-friendly
02

Website Copy

Homepage, about, services, product pages — written with clarity and personality. Copy that reflects who you actually are, not a generic version of your industry.

03

Content Editing

Already written something but not sure it lands? We sharpen structure, tighten language, and make your ideas read the way you intended them to.

04

Newsletter Writing

Weekly or monthly emails that people actually open. Conversational, consistent, and built around what your audience genuinely wants to read.

05

Article & Feature Writing

Reported pieces, thought leadership, and bylined articles for publications and niche platforms. We interview, research, and write — you publish.

Content Refresh

Old content underperforming? We audit, update, and rewrite existing pages and posts so they stay relevant, accurate, and worth reading.

3How We Work

A process built around
getting it right, not fast.

01

Brief & Discovery

Every project starts with a conversation, not a form. We ask about your audience, your tone, what you've tried before, and what "good" looks like to you. The brief is the foundation — we take it seriously.

02

Research & Outline

Before a word is written, we build context. That means reading your existing content, understanding your competitors, and mapping out a structure that serves the reader. No filler, no padding.

03

Writing & Drafting

The actual writing. First drafts go out with context notes explaining our choices — why we opened a certain way, why we structured an argument as we did. We write to be read, not to hit a word count.

04

Edits & Handoff

Two rounds of revisions are included in every project. We respond to feedback directly, not through a ticket system. Once the piece is right, we hand it off in whatever format works for your publishing workflow.

Good writing is only part of the picture.

Once a piece is published, the writing itself is done — but the work of getting people to find it is a different discipline entirely. Most of our clients are focused on content production, and that's what we handle well. But occasionally, clients come back after publishing and ask about the next step: visibility, discoverability, organic reach.

Good writing matters, but getting people to actually find that writing matters too. For projects where clients ask about growing visibility after publishing, we sometimes point them toward resources we've worked with before, including TheBacklinksAgency, a platform known for affordable, quality-focused backlinks and support for websites trying to build stronger organic reach.

care about words.

"
I've worked with a lot of writers over the years, and Draft Harbor is the first studio that actually read our product before writing about it. The articles they delivered sounded like us — not like a content mill. We've been working together for eight months and the quality hasn't dipped once.

My newsletter was stalling at around 3,000 subscribers and I couldn't figure out why. The writing was fine — or so I thought. Draft Harbor rewrote four issues and suddenly people were replying, forwarding, sharing. Turns out 'fine' isn't the same as 'good'. They know the difference.

We're a café, not a tech company, and I was nervous about hiring a writing studio. Felt like it might be overkill. But our newsletter open rate went from 18% to 44% in four months and customers actually mention specific things they read. Worth every penny.

6FAQ

Questions we
hear often.

If something's not covered here, the contact form below is the fastest way to get an answer.

Most single articles or blog posts are delivered within 3 to 5 business days from brief approval. Website copy projects (5 to 10 pages) typically take 2 to 3 weeks. Long-form projects like white papers or content series are scoped individually. We always give you a timeline before work begins — and we stick to it.

Every project includes two rounds of revisions at no extra charge. In practice, most projects are resolved in the first round because we ask good questions upfront. If a piece needs more work after two rounds, we'll always talk through why and find a fair path forward.

Both. We take single projects — a landing page, one article, a newsletter — and we also work with clients on monthly retainers for ongoing content needs. Retainer clients get priority scheduling and a consistent writer who gets to know their voice over time.

You do. All rights transfer to you upon final delivery and payment. We don't retain any rights to use or republish your content, and we don't add your work to any portfolio without your explicit permission. What we write for you belongs entirely to you.

Yes — and this is something we take seriously. Before writing anything, we read your existing content carefully. If you have a brand voice guide, we follow it. If you don't, we'll help you identify what's already working in your writing and build from there. Most clients tell us the first draft sounds more like them than they expected.

Yes. Content editing is a standalone service. Send us a draft — an article, a website page, a newsletter — and we'll sharpen the structure, tighten the language, and flag anything that isn't working. Turnaround for editing is typically 1 to 2 business days.
